Hi Brunster , suggest you have a look at Tesco,s super store - dont laugh - looked the other day some of the Items on offer for under £500 , were really good - the spec. that you describe + + + , hope this is of use to you - look before leap ? ? Good Luck

Maytag it's made in USA and it costs 1100$ for the 42 inch... I thin kit's plasma though

can't get top brands at this price but the Hyundai gets good reviews and is the only one I think around that price
