spend little if any time worrying about their own? How does disproving evolution, or bashing gays bring you closer to God? Why are you wasting your time? Just wondering.

Yes, I agree. Gandhi said "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." And this is how I am trying to live my life. I'm not perfect, but I'm trying...

Disproving evolution and "bashing gays" does not bring you closer to God. In fact, it is something that we shouldn't do. Those people are intimidated by someone elses belief, so they make fun of it and/or try to disprove it (kind of like what a liberal does).

If someone is bashing gays or always arguing, it shows a bad standard for what that religion stands for. For example, the Muslims and/or Islam, I would never consider looking at thier religion b/c you always see in the news about Islam fighting or whatever. They set a bad example for their religion.

Believers know where their soul is going. Evolution is fairy tale for grown ups. Homosexuality doesn't need to be bashed because they will never be accepted just like minorities. Wasting time? Oh no! There is alot of people on hear and elsewhere who would like to hear what I have to say.

I think Jesus said something to that effect - "Before you tell you neighbor about the speck of dust in his eye, first remove the plank from your eye." Gandhi said "I like your Christ. But I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ."

P.S. I'm an atheist.

Watch out for the believers, they're going to bash you for this one.

I think it's ok to disaprove evolution, but one should never judge another. That is God's place, not ours.
