It's cuddling. Only idiots refer to spooning as a name for a sexual position. Is it a position one can have sex in? Yes. Is it the name of a sexual act? Not at all.

You can spoon and have sex in that position as well. Spooning is basically facing each other and cuddling and doing other things all at the same time.
