Thanks for all of you’re formulas I decided to take a little of all of your idea’s and do what was suggested and create my own version of a pool party prescription from all your ideas:

In a big jug or large pitcher add:
2 lemon sliced to float
2 lime sliced to float
2 orange sliced to float
1 peach to float
1mango to float
Hand full of red grapes
Hand full of each of queen yellow & dark red cherries
3 cups of rum
Brandy taste
2 (1500 milliliter) bottles red wine
1 cup white sugar
Mixed together over night in a large container

Next day add ginger ale and ice to taste.
Serves7 people well….
Pour into glass pitcher to serve in to oversized glasses with attractive skewers.
Serve to guess in the pool while they float on their backs or in the hammock

There are 2 type's of Sangria, red and white. Red is the most popular.

Sangria Recipe
Half fill a 1 litre jug with ice
Add chopped or sliced fruit : Orange, Lemon, Apple
Add a tablespoon of sugar
Now for the booze
Add 3 long dashes of: Bacardi, Cointreau and Brandy
Half or 3/4 fill the jug with Red Wine
Add a long dash of Orange Juice
Top with La Casera, Lemonade, Sprite or 7 up
Give it a good stir and serve.

Some recipes I've seen recommend that you chill it overnight??
I recommend that you drink it straight away!!

White Sangria Recipe
Basically White Sangria is the same as Red Sangria but you replace the red wine with white wine and leave out the orange juice.

My mom's Sangria recipe: (

Large bottle of pelegrino water
Half a bottle of chianti or any good table red wine
I green apple
1 nectarine
1 orange
1 peach
(Add any other fruit to taste- Mangoes and cherries also work great. Also, don't forget to chop the fruits up so the taste will permeate the sangria).
Add Sugar to taste (My mom sometimes add condensed milk instead of sugar).
Add ice cubes to chill drink before serving.

Throw in a cinnamon stick in there for added flavor!

I'll be honest, I like using carlo rossi sangria and then jazzing it up with marichino cherries, sliced oranges, slice lemon, pineapple and a few mint leaves for color. It's inexpensive and very tasty! You can also make it into a champaign punch.
