Some people think that their religion is the only way to live or you go to hell. We are all free to believe what we would like to believe. I don't think you are going to hell. I don't even believe in hell.

Maybe people are yelling at you for being bad or wrong. Just because you're an Atheist doesn't exclude you from conforming to society's rules. As far as going to hell for not joining a religion, I don't think this will occur. It'll be like you never existed at all. If anything, you'll be but a memory. Whether it will be a good or bad memory is completely up to you.

Those of us who do not believe in any religion or God are actually one of the most discriminated against group in the US.
I read a survey that said about 87% of all Americans are believers so we are definitely in the minority.
To answer your question, if they do believe, and on faith alone, they cannot fathom that others do not believe the way they do and they are threatened by those who want and need tangible evidence of a God. Also, many religions are evangelical and the members are expected to convert others to their religion. When we resist, they are frustrated and sometimes angry.
So I recommend you keep your Atheism to yourself if you don't want to be verbally attacked. Besides, there is no Hell so you do not have to go there! By the way, I do not consider myself an Atheist because I cannot prove there is no God. I just haven't seen any scientific evidence that proves one way or another.

Who yells are you? In my Religion the top guy did not yell at anyone he just helped them find a way out of there sins and the troubles that they caused them.
If you don't believe in sin then why do you care?
Everyone makes a choice you choose to not believe on God then it is up to you.
If you change your Mind he will be there and he still will not yell at you, well at least the Book I read says that. Can't speak for the other religions.

There are religions that don't think there is a hell, but they usually aren't as pushy. I personally don't think it's nice of people to extend their religious beliefs beyond their members.
Hell-bullies like to tell you you're going to Hell because they are threatened by the idea that not everyone agrees with them.
A nice alternative is the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. There are a lot of Atheists who are adherents, and it's a lot of fun. There is only a Hell-Light, but afterlife regulation only applies to those who are participants in the religion.

Religious people, particularly the super-churchy ones, are easily threatened by people like you who don't believe as they do. It is annoying, but try not to take it too personally. If you are a true atheist then there is no meaning or threat in someone calling you a sinner. After all, if there is no God, then there can be no heaven or hell.

Since you don't belief in their religion, there is no need for you to go to their hell. I don't have a religion, so I don't believe in heaven or hell. My chance of going to hell is still 50/50, and me not being part of a religion doesn't automatically raise my chance to 100/0

being an antheist doesn't mean u don't sin. and u are by no means excused from the consequences either. You will go to hell if you do not become a christian. its not just any religion u must be a part of. when God looks at u and asks why should i let u into heaven? he is going to give the atheists, catholics, mormons, any one who has not accepted christ as their personal savior, the same answer. DEPART FROM ME I DO NOT KNOW THEE.

They should not tell you to go to hell. They should tell you if you reject what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for you then you will send yourself to hell. He died for your sins He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. Believe and trust in that and you will be saved from the damnation of hell and the lake of fire.1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

If a Christian is truly walking with God, then they won't yell at you for being a sinner...Everyone sins (obviously) and for a Christian to admonish you while not attending to their own sins, would be a sin in itself...As a Christian, you can't look down on non-Christians sinning because, if they don't believe in the Bible you can't hold them accountable to the rules IN the Bible....
Now if you don't trust in your heart, and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christi died on the cross for our sins, and that through him we can have eternal life in heaven, you will go to hell when you die.
But a Christian shouldn't be "yelling at you" as you put it...because a Christian shouldn't hold you to their rules if you aren't a Christian
