It depends on where you live in Arizona. For my daughter's 5th yr b-day party we did something at home. If that doesn't work for you then have it in one of the parks. I lived near Kiwanis Park in Tempe and that is where we had my son's b-day when he turned 5. You can either BBQ or order a 3 or 6ft sub from Fry's. I spent about $100 that included food, drink, party favors, games, plates, cups, plates, cutlery, ice and lots and lots of napkins. Jungle Jim's playland is a good place as well. Also try Golfland in Mesa. There's Skateland in Scottsdale. That's if you live in southern AZ. Chuck E Cheese is good too but they have crappy freezer burned cakes.
Get your sheet cake from Sam's or Costco. You can get some games but if the party is during this time of year then squirt guns and water balloons are very popular and very inexpensive.

What about Castles & Coasters? or The Little Gym? or AZ on the Rocks?

try a skating rink, neighborhood pool, zoo, or just take the whole gang to a really nice park & have a picnic & games there.
