How is it more logical to believe that a couple of eternal gasses just so happened to collide and have such a catastrophic result as to create the universe over billions of years...than it is to believe in an eternal God who created the universe by His own design? Please explain where these gasses came from, what caused them, on back to whatever created that (for if you will use the argument of "who created God," then surely I can use the argument of "what caused the gasses that formed the universe to exist?") Secondly, have there been scientific, repeatable experiments that prove that this is how the universe/life began? Thirdly, if not, then evolution truly is merely a theory, just as Creation is a theory, and thus both should be taught as theories (along with all the other theories on how the universe and life came into existance). Aside from the usual answers of "get a life xian loser", does anyone out there have a sound answer?

You have the answer. They are theories and we can not, and will not know until we die. There are three basic theories: 1. Everything was created as is, 2. A creator made everything, but he started with a "Big Bang" and then used evolution, and 3. Everything spawned from nothing in a "Big Bang" and then evolution and time took over.

We will all find out the answer when we die. In 1 and 2, we will know for sure. in 3. once we are dead, we completely cease to exist and so it doesn't matter.

I often wonder why this is debated so much, even though I have joined in the debate (I have an on going email debate about this very topic), because we should really just be concerned where we ourselves come from, not our whole species or the whole world. Instead of looking in the past, we should analyze who we are individually and look to where we are going individually and collectively. We are all headed into the future, so why concern ourselves with the past. The past is dead, so why look to it. The future is life, so we should look to life.

I'm with you, I beleive that the universe and all that is out there was created by a power that no one here on earth can even begin to understand. That power is also not human. But It is really explosive!!

One is a theory based on scientific thought and evidence, the other is based on a religious faith based belief. Seperation of church and state dictates that one can be taught in school and one not. That is the problem I have with it. Also, logically, the universe began with Chuck Norris' roundhouse kick, duh.
