Does anybody else have to sing the ABCs song when they are alphabetizing anything?

I can do it for the first few letters (up to G) and the last few letter (starting at X) but the rest of it I have to sing. You can imagine how much I hate filing. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a sign of a learning disability?

I am 35, run a company, have two kids, and yes I still have to sing the song.

I find myself having to go through the alphabet when I'm sorting things and I'm not concentrating. Singing? Nope, not me...though I do sing it when I'm washing my hands (to get that full 20 seconds in!).


Learning disability is highly unlikely... just a lack of NEED or perhaps your brain isn't wired that way..nothing to worry about!

I manager a small business, and yes I sing the alphabet when I need to alphabetize. It helps to go a lot faster on things and makes you happy too when you sing!!! :)

I work at a restaurant and half of our computer menu is alphebatized so we have to use the alphabets to ring up orders. I am singing that damn song all night long.

Yep :) No matter how much education one gets it seems it's hard to alphabetize anything without singing that awesome song :)

it is not a learning disability i have done a lot of reading. there is no mention of this as disability. some times people just feel as if it is not nessasary to know ths info so they just forget this

YES. I thought I was the only one! I also do my 9's times tables on my fingers. I am 33 years old.

I totally do that, and I can't even make it to G. I start to get screwed up after D with the whole E and F thing.

I don't think you CAN alphabetize anything with out singing it!!
