What does a girl mean when she's comforting a guy friend about not being able to get a girlfriend and says, " ...Everybody lives their life at different speeds. It's not your time, yet. When it's the right time for you the right girl will come along..." ? I'm guessing there are qualities about the guy that make him unattractive as a bf and the girl doesn't want to hurt his feelings by being too honest.

You guessed right, grasshopper! I don't know what qualities you have that make you unattractive, and there are too many for me to list. The most common one is trying too hard on one girl. The next most common one is assuming a girl likes you because you like her a lot. Another common one is overestimating your expected success rate. Only about 1 in 6 normal girls you get phone numbers from will like you if you're a normal guy. Also, only about 1 in 10 girls who give you their numbers will both like you and be likable to you. So, you have to be patient and talk to lots of girls to find one that's worth your time! Good luck!

I think that she is being a very good friend, and letting the guy know that he needs to be patient, and that when the time is right, someone will come along. I would also tell the guy, that there is no rush to do anything. Discover yourself. Be happy with yourself. You will be with "yourself" a very long time, and many people today get lost along the way, and then have to go out and "find" themselves. Do this now, and therefore you've eliminated a step. Get involved in other activities. Exercise, volunteer your time, continue your education. Surround yourself with caring friends, and spend quality time with them and family. When you are truly happy within, your inner light will shine, and other people will see that, and be attracted to you. Before you know it, you'll see in front of you, what you have been waiting for, and you'll be so glad you waited.

I don't see it that way. To me it sounds like she's just saying, be patient, be happy, and when you least expect it the girl will come.
