That really depends upon what you're looking and watching for in regards to "health" and its' relation to your health. As a supply of protein, pork is a good source of protein if you cut away all of the fat...but not nearly as good as fish, like Tuna, which is about the best source of protein and excellent for those like, body-builders, who are seeking protein sources. From the veiw of taking "health-risks", both pork and chicken (including chiken eggs) have been linked as possible sources of cancer. It was demonstrated decades ago that both pork and chicken carry active cancer-cells...as in such books that have been written by Dr. Royal Rife who mysteriously disappeared (with most of his work for "cures" for cancer) some decades ago.

if you cook it well and eat it in moderation its fine to eat. it would satisfy the protein requirement in your diet, too much meat of any kind can be unhealthy, but in moderation, a few times a week it can definitely be part of a healthy diet. I don't know of anything unique to pork that would make it a better choice over any other meat though.
