I recently joined the gym and am planning to workout everyday for a good hour or so. I have a big butt and i want to keep it that way and make it more toned and possibly bigger, but i want to lose fat in my arms and my stomach. I had two kids in less than 2 years apart. I also had 2 c-sections. Does anyone know how to get rid of that fat around your stomach ??

I have a big butt to begin with anyway. I weighed 115 lbs before my first pregnancy and the only thing big was my butt. But now i'm afraid that if i work out alot (since ive never been big before , i might lose it )

Butt size is largely genetic, but I'd say do a low number of reps with high weight for your squats, kickbacks, calf raises, etc (anything that works that rear), as opposed to the high reps at low weight for the rest of your body. This will build muscle there rather than just tone it. Good luck.

If your muscels are seperated due to the c-section it could be really hard to get your abs back in shape without surgery. The best thing i have found for Abs are those Ab balls that you lean back on and do crunches on... these are good becaus it also tightens your butt and thighs if you do it right. To firm your butt you should so squats and then get on a 4's and bring one leg back.

I would start by talking to your doctor.
Then a trainer.
And not some YMCA minimum wage trainer either.
A pro.
They'll be able to help you on your path to keeping all the junk you want.
Good luck - keep that cushion for the pushin :P - -

It's all based on genetics...the only way to loose fat in a very specific area w/out getting too skinny all over is liposuction. But it sounds like a good size booty is on your side already...so just firm it up with some squats and climbing stairs.

just do Butt crunches and excercises. That keeps the muscle. Ask a personal trainer or another persone working out. They should be able to help also.

you can't target specific fat, the order you gain weight is the order you'll lose it, its genetic. this means if the fat on your butt was the first you gained, it'll be the last you lose.
aerobic exercise w/light weight training to increase lean muscle content, and the belly fat will come off in no time
:-D
good luck

Spot exercise can be difficult. Consult a Certified Personal trainer or Sports Doctor.

You do realize that getting pregnant does not increase fat? It merely increases the amount of water you retain.
That area can be tightened up by exercise, good diet (low in fat), and an disciplined approach.
Read the book "Heavy Lettuce: A Journeyman Dieter's Adventures" by John Flynn. It's a great book that has helped me immensely.
