My bf has slowly been coming around to being more open with me but everytime we start talking about something, he pushes me away...sometimes we go 2-3 days without talking, we see each other about twice a week and I have no reason to believe he's cheating, etc. When we first met, he was very adamant about not being in a serious relationship and does not wish to get married,etc. (neither do I) but we are exclusive (his idea) and we tend to spend most of our freetime together.He bought me an iPod for my b-day (even after we agreed on not buying each other anything) and he tells me that I come before everything else except work (which makes sense to me) before it was different, basically I was not a priority, etc. It seems things have changed and are serious to me but does anyone else think this too? He's still very difficult to get to know, he's quiet and very private in his life. But I feel like like his actions don't match his words. am I reading into this or what? Any ideas?

He may be leery of a serious commitment. But it sounds like he is taking baby steps toward a more serious status. The not coming around or speaking raises red flags to me . What is his family life like? What type of communication does his family have with each other? Also, ask yourself is this the type of communication you want in a long term relationship? Good luck.

Fell hard for a guy just like him! Didn't realize how much he really wanted to be with me until I had found another. I never went back to him but we are very good friends to this day. He still gives me sh*t for it, but how was I to know when he never told me his true feelings before. I asked all the right questions after I had left him...start talking to your man and make it known that it is important to you to know the answers. I hated feeling like I needed to be reassured but with this type of guy , you need too!!!! Good Luck

Its possible you could be, or are you just getting too serious for him, now that you guys are investing more emotion into the relationship.......maybe back off a bit and see what happens, notice how things change, then work on it from there.

he's an introvert and can't figure out the word part of it i have a guy just like that don't worry he loves you but maybe he's afraid of the feelings or of chasing you away because of your pre approved relationship you two desided upon
