Dump too much salt in the sauce.

Use sauce that has spoiled.

Over cook the pasta until it falls apart.

Under cook the pasta so that it's crunchy.

by overcooking the noodles, you usually only have to cook the pasta in boiling water for about between 8-11 minutes and thats it. If over than that the pasta will eventually stick to eachother and become hard.

A great way to eliminate sticky pasta is to pour a little olive oil on top of your pasta and massage it through the pasta. Your pasta will not be sticky, even if you place it in the refrigerator as a leftover.

Undercook it just a shade, drain it, and let it sit uncovered on the stove for just a little bit. Salt thoroughly and serve.
