Because they have to keep their machismo or as a macho thing because if they show their emotion they will be mislead as a gay because women show their emotions so as a man they can't show their emotion which is wrong by the way, actually men are more emotional than woman. It's parents fault because men brought up to be tough, not to cry that's why some men according to statistic that men commit suicide than women because they can not cope up with problems.

It is not that we feel that it is wrong, we just feel uncomfortable showing emotions. Part of it, I think, is that women have stronger emotions than men. It is not just that we don't show it, I don't think we have the raging emotions that women have. Women like to share their feelings and it makes them feel better. Men prefer to deal with things on their own.
I think it has to do with cavemen. Thousands of years ago, men had to go out with spears and hunt for food. Women stayed around the camp and gathered nuts and berries and made tools and stuff. You can't be having a conversation when hunting or the animals will hear you and run away. Therefore, men evolved to be solitary and quiet. Women, on the other hand, could talk and share their feelings in their tight-knit groups. This helped the women because they could better learn from one another.
That is my explanation. I don't know if it is true but that is my theory.

because some parents start telling them from an early age that "boys don't cry" - It's the most dreadful thing to tell a little boy because when he grows up he has nothing to help release his tension. I wish parents would think long term when they decide it's wrong for a boy to cry.

When they become men you get exactly what you are asking now. They feel pain just the same.

Not all men are afraid to show their emotions, it depends on whether he believes being emotional will be well received. Some woman, I believe, cannot take a man showing his emotions, a sign of weakness.

I think the peaks and troughs of a woman's hormones allow us to release our emotional outbursts without the stigma of ownership. It's like we don't have any control over our emotions but Men are expected to be in control.
I do think we experience the world in very different ways but neither gender should have to be governed by societies generalisations of what we can and cannot express.
It's usually a case of finding like-minded individuals so you can be free to be yourself and grow.

I think they grew up being taught that it was weak to show emotion. Especially caring emotions. I also think some men don't actually have any like us women do.

Because they think that showing that side will make them look bad and weak.

We of course know this is not true, I think a man who shows his emotions is great and then I wouldn't have to keep guessing what is going on in his head

its their choice i guess- and anyways i dont think i would like to know exactly what goes on in their timy little brains sometimes. Not all men are the same they each hold ideas and it's mainly to do with the way they were brought up, if they were allowed to show their emtions and how they handled situations.

Im no man but Ive lived with one long enough to know

because most are shallow individuals that dont know how to show their feelings,,this stems from their parents thinking, when they get to a certain age you shouldnt show them affection any longer,, i have 5 sons all over the age of 19, that still give me a hug and tell me they love me, as i do them, i always told them to treat people the way you wish to be treated yourself,, some girls out there are going to be very lucky when they cross their paths!!
