The answer depends on the type of noodle. In general noodles are mostly carb, but egg noodles have more protein. Rice also has protein. All whole grain products are better for you.

Not positive but I believe they would be about the same. There are low carb noodles out there. I remember them from when I was on the Atkins diet. Those would be better. Don't believe theres a low carb rice...but alot depends on how much of it you eat.

Brown rice is at the top of the list for healthy. Whole wheat noodles come in second. I think white rice and white noodles would tie for 3rd place.

Carbs give your body fuel, as long as you are burning them off.
They're not "bad" for you. I'm small (and not by good genetics, either), and have 10% body fat. I eat carbs. I eat quite a bit of them before I go to the gym.
If you want to stay low carb, though, go for the rice. Brown rice, to be exact.

Pasta is a food made by process, rice is a grain. Go with brown rice, not white. Whole grain pasta like Barilla Plus has added nutrients.

carbs aren't *bad*, they are important. noodles and rice aren't bad if eaten in reasonable proportions, and are especially good if you combine them with protein.

think of noodles like unsalted saltine crackers...fat content is high and still no flavor
