It varies from bank to bank and country to country. Most bank will issue atm card for people under 18. Which can be used at point of sale terminal's and atms with a pin. Some bank will issue a debit card with parent’s signature. I would ask each bank in your area.

Legally and Technically you have to be 18 or older to have any of these things because they require contracts.

So for instance if you default on a bank account at the age of 16 legally you can't be held responsible for it because you are not of legal age to sign a contract. Some banks will let you open an account if you have a job because they want your money.

You must be 18 to open your own checking account and get your own debit card. If you want one before that. one of your parents has to be on the account, also. You must be 18 to sign any contract, and when you apply for a credit card, you are signing a contract with the credit card company to borrow money and repay it to them. Same for car loans, etc.

ill be 15 in a month and i would also be ridiculed if my friends know, because I am a popular skater kid who everyone knows and is always with the cool kids and hot girls and stuff. I also started playing again recently after quiting 5 years ago. I started playing again 3 weeks ago when I was sick and couldnt go out, so I watched the movie and was like this awesome why I stop so I dug out my cards and bought some new ones. I plan on playing tournaments in different cities so my friends dont find out. =]

for an atm card u have 2 be 15 or older they start sending u credit cards when they see u have a job.
