Should i get a mohawk? Yes, If you think you can handle the jokes and criticism.
I am 15 and have light blonde hair. Good for you.
How much hair should be cut off the sides? All of it.
How can i make sure it is even and straight? Get a professional to do it. Don't try to do it at home yourself. Even a friend can screw it up. You are asking someone to shave off all of your hair except a strip down the middle like a skunk.
Make sure you aren't going to p*ss off your parents. Is a haircut worth a grounding?

Well at 15 I'm assuming you are in school, if you go to a school you might want to check the rules about hair styles (I know wher I amthey are not allowed)
For the mohawk the ones I've seen the actual mohawk is about two inches wide and shaved on either side, some people down all the way some just most of the way.
..and jenintn i'm also in TN and happen to be very fond of mohawks and yes I am a girl and not any type of freak but then again I have run into that mantality down here a lot (no I'm not originally form here)

It varies from person to person some shave it clean and some leave a little bit. It is up to you! Are you a Mohawk Indian? Or just trying to look like one? Just wondering. Some people might take offense to a blond guy with a Mohawk hair cut, What is the reason? Personally I think to each their own untill you start stepping on Tribal issues! Are you making fun of the culture or what? And don't tell me that THEY are all dead, I know one...and many do still live!

cut it all off the sides. its not a true mohawk if you leave hair on the sides. and then u can tell if u have a straight line. leave about a 2 inch strip down fron the front to very back at the bottom of your head.

u can still leave hair on the sides. that will make it look cool. just make sure the mohawk is at lst 2 inches longer. to make sure its all good cut off the same amnt on both sides. good luck mohawks r sexy!!

no you have to cut the hair on the top and back off but keep the sides you will be the only one with this style of hair cut

Eh, I don't think girls look good with mohawks. But that's just my opinion.
