what is with the whole 'blondes are idiots' thing?? it's starting to get really annoying. the jokes aren't so bad (some are actually funny), but when i'm having a conversation w/ somebody and they say something like 'oh, i'm sorry, was that too deep for you?' i feel like taking a dull knife to their face! i'm blonde and i have a 4.0 GPA and 2nd smartest in my class.

The fact that you would take a dull knife to a person's face shows that you are, in fact, a dumb blonde. A dull knife couldn't hurt anybody, unless you tried hard enough or wanted to kill someone that badly. You don't eat your soup with a fork, do you? To be honest, having a 4.0 GPA and being the second smartest in your class means next to nothing. You have to be able to use the things you learn in school in the real world to be considered intelligent in my book.

I don't resent the jokes for a second either. Completely silly fun. I do feel underestimated from time to time. Like the first day in a new class or something, but then you have the opportunity to really WOW them. When people expect the least from you, when you are good at what you do, you can shock the h*ll out of them!

Well I just changed my hair to a darker shade of blond-reason for hair color change! I wish on the avatar that they had more then one shade of blond!! I was born blond then as I grew older I was chestnut brown (gray I got tired of ) now a dark honey blond-doesn't change a thing!! Just for the record some of the smartest women I have ever known were blond-who knows I may even decide to be change to being a red head again-Nothing ever changes because of the color of a persons hair! Try not to feel bad or even mad-only BEAUTIFUL AND SMART!!!!!

Sorry, I am brunette and I'm always told I must have been a blonde in a former life or I can see your blonde roots. Matter of fact I'm way smarter than the ones saying this. They have to put others down in order to feel better about themselves, especially that you have a 4.0 and second best in your class. JEALOUSY!

NO all blondes aren't stupid{i hate the word stupid though i prefer to say less intelligent}!!!!!I am a natural blonde and i think i am very intelligent............i graduate from high school with all my credits and good grades{i know nothing about GPA because we do not have that in Canada}, i also graduated from college with honours so i am very proud of that!!!!!!!I don't mind the blonde jokes either,i can take a good joke without getting offended!!!!!I know brunettes that are so dense they don't know left from right for God sakes'lol'!!! So NO blondes aren't less intelligent.........it's haS absolutely noting to do with one's hair colour i guess it's just in ones genes!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with you. I am blonde also and they always pick on me! It is sooooo annoying! It is really starting to get old. But I do have to admit that some of the blonde jokes are funny. But not if ppl are talking about you.

then don't take it personally. you can't help the fact that, 1. blondes are sometimes stupid (guess what? so are brunettes), and 2. people are close-minded, intolerent and set in their ways.
if we're used to doing something, we keep doing it that way because it's comfortable.
maybe you can help ppl see that you are smart and talented and blond. you're obviously not fulfilling their limited expectation for blonds, so good for you.
btw, expectations are stupid anyway.
ps - all the blonds on here who are boasting about their super high GPA's, get a life.

In my experience, most people are just kidding when they say things like that. I am blonde and have never had anyone say anything about me being a "dumb blonde" that I thought was serious. If people really mean it when they talk to you, then tell them how those comments really hurt you. If they won't stop ignore them. You know who you are and how smart you are. No matter what they say it doesn't change you.

Honey it is just a thing to joke about. Blondes are just as intelligent as any other color . This has been going on since the beginning of time. I think you are what you make of yourself. If you study hard and apply your self which It sounds like you have . Just turn your ears off. They are just having fun with you. I don't think they are puposely trying to hurt your feelings. The whole dumb blonde situation mainly occurs when you are dealing with a girl, or a guy, who has been using their good looks to get them through life, instead of using their brain. It is not just limited to blondes. There are no genetics saying that blondes are stupid. Stupid people are stupid nomatter what they look like.
