All I have seen in the past few weeks are more and more spanish speakers who do not speak english. I cant stand it anymore, why dont they speak english, the American dominant language. I went to Florida a few weeks ago, and on the plane there were at least 60 passengers that only spoke spanish and it drove me crazy. when I arrived at the airport, guess what there were even more, spanish speakers, and whats worse all the signs had a spanish desrcriptions on it with the English language below it. below it! the illegals have crossed the lines. what are we to do? and what are your thoughts on this?

Well, you are wrong to think that only illegals cannot speak English. My grandmother was born in Texas as was her mother and yet my mother could not speak English until they went to school to learn it. They brought it home for the others to learn. They were all legal. But if it is used in the house and they can get by working and reading signs in Spanish, why should they? There is nothing to motivate them. And even though you heard only Spanish spoken on the plane, doesn't mean they don't know English. They just don't want you listening to their conversations.

Have you ever thought that some of them are legal residents. And some others are even U. S. citizens? so.. you are telling me you are agains some citizens form your own country. Or do you think some citizens have more value than others? That doesn't sound to agree with the Constitution of your country.
I am sorry to say it, but you should learn Spanish. The English ddescriptions may disappear. The wouldn't be below the spanish ones! so.. you... will get lost.. and die of starvation because you won't be able to go into a McDonald's to buy something.
Future looks so threatening to you, right? Move to Australia. It is harder for Latinos to get there. If you hate Latinos... go away! I know it is your country.. but... you can't take them out. Then leave!

The Spanish language has always been used in the Southwest--an area settled by Spaniards, you ding-bat!!!!
Also, there are many, many more LEGAL Hispanics in this country than illegals. You, dear friend, are a first class racist! Why do you let other people's language bother you? I can't stand southern accents, but it doesn't "drive me crazy".

I think that the "powers that be" behind Dubya's administration/presidency have decided that the American people were getting too smart about some issue (the war?? who knows....), so they started waving a red herring in the form of "illegal aliens" and "problem", in our faces. (Every rich, Republican, person I've ever worked for had an "illegal" to care for their children and/or house)

English is the language of business and science, world wide. Educated Spanish language speakers know that and have learned English as a second language. Your plane mates were talking to each other, not you. The undocumented are not responsible for everything that's wrong with this country.

This is what a mexican who lives in MEXICO thinks:

1. You are right, if english is the official language in your country all the inmigrants must learn it and speak it in the US.
2. Think in the possibility that not every people you see in the Florida is ILLEGAL, there are many reasons why Florida has many latin people: the cuban people, tourists on Miami beach with passport and visa and completely legal mexican and latin people (many actors and singers) who are rich and have enough money to buy grounds or houses.
3. Finally, if I go to the USA, I would go with my documents and as a tourist, I would travel in an airplane not in a "pollero" bus or truck not swimming in the river, not scaling and jumping the walls.
4. I f I had someday to live in your country I would ask for permission and I would promise to addapt to your lifestyle. Including language and celebrations.

Maybe you should learn Spanish.

Spain owned Florida and much of the southeast before England did. The influence can be seen everywhere, in our buildings, town names, and language. Also, we are closer to other Spanish-speaking countries and areas (including Puerto Rico, a Spanish-speaking area belonging to the USA), so we get more folks who speak mosly Spanish.

The big question is, why does it bother you? Are you upset because the world doesn't revolve around you and your knowledge?

Because the US government keeps Kissing there ASSES instead of doing EXACTLY what they should do MAKE ENGLISH our national language. No government documents in Spanish, No drivers exams in Spanish, No Job Applications in Spanish No Spanish listing in stores or on Menus. STOP making it EASY give them two choices and Not one more. Either Learn English or GET OUT thats it.

Have you not been reading the news? There are millions and millions of ILLEGAL immigrants from Mexico living in the USA.

Guess what? You're tax money is going to support them. They can't afford to pay their hospital bills when delivering a child but that child is automatically a US citizen. Then the parents need welfare to raise the kid.

What other country gives citizenship automatically to children of illegal immigrants? This loophole needs to be closed.

I'm all for LEGAL immigration. Mexicans should apply and wait in line just like everyone else.
