psychiatrists work with ppl who have mental illnesses, such as scizofrenia. Psychologists work with people who have been screwed up because of their past experiences, depression, family, maybe the loss of a loved one, etc. and simply need some help.guidance. therapists are a lot like psychologists; sometimes they can specialize in a particular field, too.

A therapist normally has a MA degree in counselling or social work.

A psychologist has a PhD in psychology.

A psychiatrist is a physician who specializes in psychiatric issues.
