Yep in a skillet that is hot put some butter and garlic and then the shrimp. Lightly salt and pepper them and a squirt of lemon is wonderful while they are frying in the pan 4 minutes on each side no longer.
I use healthy choice butter because no cholesterol is good cholesterol.
Bon Appetite!!

I have been to Japan many times and eaten shrimp cooked many different ways. Here's an easy recipe for spicy Jumbo shrimp:
1/2 lb jumbo shrimp 8-12ct peeled and de-veined then sliced in half long-ways
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (I like Emrile's)
Heat butter in saucepan over med-high heat
When bubbling stops, toss in shrimp and spread evenly in the pan. Cook about 2 minutes and sprinkle the Cajun seasoning in the pan.
Flip the shrimp, and cook the other side 2 minutes.
Once cooked, toss in the pan to coat. Serve immediately and pass the sake.

2 lbs jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup fresh basil
1 cup cilantro
1 cup shredded cabbage
1-2 cup shiitake mushrooms, sliced thin
ground ginger, to taste (optional)
Marinade
1 cup mirin or sake
4 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Combine all marinade ingredients and marinate the shrimp for 30 minutes.
In the meantime, chop the basil and cilantro, shred the cabbage, and wash and slice the mushrooms.
Put the cabbage on the bottom of a steamer, place the shrimp on top, and then the mushrooms; spread the herbs and ginger evenly on the top.
Steam for five minutes, or until the shrimp are firm and opaque.

RE:
How to cook Jumbo Shrimp?
Does anyone know how to cook the jumbo shrimp that the Japanese Steakhouses use for appetizers? They are so good but we have been unsuccessful in duplicating it at home. Thanks!

Grilled.
Peel and devein shrimp. Mix lemon juice, lime juice, soy sauce, salt and pepper in a bowl. Marinate shrimp for 1 hour in refrigerator.
Grill 3 minutes each side.
Done! Enjoy

If the shrimp are already fully cooked when you buy them, try some seasonings you enjoy and place them on your backyard BBQ grill... use a skewer so they don't fall through. Keep your heat very low, and cook just for a few minutes. If you cook them too long, they'll be dry. I have cooked mine for just two minutes and they taste great!

My favorite way is to grill them with a little olive oil and lemon pepper for seasoning and a dash of hot sauce
