well first of all you should not have done that, if the guy u like likes u then he`s really going to be hurt, i know because i once made the same mistake. well try to talk to him and tell him about your feelings for him. tell him that the kiss meant nothing to u. if he doesnt want to talk to u then write a letter to him, explain truthfully what u feel and if he really likes u he`ll come back...
if he doesnt come back then don`t worry. if u really like him then u`ll hurt for sometime but u`ll be okay. its not the end of the world...

I did the same exact thing as a matter of fact i and me and my boyfriend have been going out for 1yr and 3months now i understand that things can be tempting so try not to work yourself up but you still should feel bad about it i told my him that we kissed and he was furious with me for months it took him a long time to get over and im extremely sorry i let it happen but if he really loves you he should forgive you after a while but you must be very patient because it hurts really bad to know that the person you going out with kissed their ex

First of all, if you don't like your ex anymore, why are you comforting him, with a kiss at that. He's your ex for a reason, isn't he?
Doesn't sound like you know what you want from what you explained here.

He may not be able to forgive you..That is a very heartbreaking thing to have to deal with..Just stop & think about how you would feel..You would not be so quick to forgive him if you truely loved him and on the other hand why did you kiss someone else you must not really love him

Tell him how you feel about him, and how your feelings of friendship toward your ex don't change this. The heart has a limitless supply of love; you can care for all of your ex's, all of your friends, your family, as well as your significant other.
Good luck; hope it goes well. :)

you don't "get" him to do anything. just lay it out, let him know how you feel, tell him that you still want to pursue a relationship with him, and it wasn't meant as a betrayal. then just let him go. he will decide what he needs to do, and you'll have to accept that. it's the truly respectful thing to do.
fyi, i see a lot of anti-gay comments in your future...

Well didn't you just **** that all up by being so immature and insensitive to your guys feelings. You don't get him to forgive you. Either he will or he won't.

spare me this story........heard it so many times...........if you know what you were doing you would not have done it............. a hug works just as well to make someone feel better.... esspecially a "Friend" ............ just admit it was wrong and see how far the truth will take you.
