It's automated in the sense that Yahoo lets it run on its own unless somebody reports something, then a warm body takes over.
The people who ask and answer are very real people. Try it for a while and you will find out.
It's your own decision whether you stay off the streets or not.

You know I answered a question not to long ago that read (what was the dumbest or silliest thing you've ever seen in answers) and I said a person that answers their own question. Sound fimiliar.
