It is only an indication that the dog may be ill.. there are other reasons for a dog to have a dry nose.
However, a healthy dog normally has a cool wet nose..

That is a myth. It is true that sometimes a dog's nose will get dry when they get sick, but it is not an indication of them being sick if it is dry.

Mostly myth, but there nose can give you some idea to how they feel. Mine are both healthy and one id dry most of the time and the other is wet.

Its a myth. They are usually dry and warm when they wake up.
They are sick when there is snot coming out of their nose. That's about all you can tell from the nose.

My Dog's nose is warm a lot. The heat effects the coolness of its nose. When it goes out in the winter, and comes back in with a cold nose.

I've told by my Vet...if the dog's nose is wet he's happy & if it's dry he is sick.
