Greetings,
If you rely on the christian churches account of this then NO!!!
However should you rely on what is in the bible then YES!!!
Todays church has devised their own version of events to fit their agendas and doctrinal beliefs and do not follow the events of the bible.
Look in the New Testament and you will discover that Jesus and His disciples arrived from Jericho six days before the 15th of Nisan (the day of Passover)and the next day entered triumphant into Jerusalem on a colt which is what is now Palm Sunday according to the church. Now if Jesus arrived the day before Sunday it would have been on Saturday(the Sabbath) and not only would Jesus ,but His disciples and everyone inthat house have been guilty of breaking the Sabbath and deserving of death by stoning .So scince Jesus did observe the Sabbath then it can only be concluded that Jesus arrived on Friday the ninth and entered Jerusalem on the true Sabbath (Saturday) and cleansed the Temple.
Scince Jesus observed the Passover at night then that means He celebrated it on the night of 14th(Jewish days started at night and ended the next night)which in turn He was arrested that night and went through His ordeal into the next day Wednesday and crucified on the 15th.and taken down before the special Sabbath of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. So buried Wednesday night to Thursday night(1)to Friday night(2) to Satrurday night(the Sabbath)(3) and arose the scripture states early in the morning hours then you will be knowledgable as to the true account of Jesus' last week.

It was three nights, Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday Night.
Friday was the High day, which during the passover is just as sacred as the sabbath. Jesus was takin down and put in the seplicher before sunset. So it was three nights not three days. He was resurrected on the 1st day of the week, which was sunday.

The people of Jesus' time counted a part of a day as a day. So, Jesus was crucified on Friday, and rose on Sunday. Friday, Saturday, Sunday is 3 days. That is why Sunday is called The Lord's Day. Also, the day was considered to start when 3 stars were visible in the evening sky, not midnight as we figure it nowadays.
Jesus is still seen, alive, by people all over the world. Many people in areas not reachable by missionaries have been reached by Jesus Himself. Places like Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia and others.

***JESUS DIED WEDNESDAY APRIL 14, 31AD
A good foundation (1Tim.6:19) has solid ground evidence. The foundation should include 2Tim.3:16; Isaiah 28:9-10; 2Peter 1:19-21; 1Thess.5:20-21 & Ephes.5:9-10,13. To understand deeply--you must use these websites:

If you read Daniel 9:27; it says "he died in the middle of the week"; that would be Wednesday. This is followed by "3 days & 3 nights" = Matthew 12:40 which equals 1-24hr.day x 3days equals 72hrs. in grave. Next the Bible tells us it would be "after 3days and "not before = Matt.27:63-64 and Mark 8:31. It tells us in three days (John 2:19-21) and not after. The Bible also reminds us a day is 12hrs. not including the night(John 11:9-10). Remember also Gen.1:5 and Lev.23:32 tells us "evening to evening" is considered to be a day.

Now I know this is true because the MAJORITY(Matt.7:13) is always wrong. Also there's many clues that it wasn't a Friday crucifixion and a Sunday resurrection; look at 2Tim.2:18. But you will point out Mark 16:9 which says "Now when Jesus was risen[the perfect tense is correct here--he was already risen] early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene." Now the original Greek didn't have no punctuation. If the King James translators put a comma after the word "risen" and not after "week", this would make complete sense. The Centenary Translation renders it this way: "Now after his resurrection, early on the first day of the week he appeared first to Mary Magdalene."
If you want more truths of the Bible.

The question pre-supposes that Jesus ever LIVED in the first place. The fact that there are no records of his existence (other than the hearsay of the bible itself), that no historians from the area during that time period (and there were plenty of them) made any mention of "the most important man who ever lived" until decades after he supposedly died, and that no independent third parties seemed to notice the most overt and verifiable "miracles" attributed to Jesus (i.e.; causing a great earthquake, blotting out the sun, causing dead saints to crawl up out of the ground and go wandering about town) ought to make you ask instead: Did Jesus even exist, or was he invented wholecloth by Paul in an attempt to gain converts to his newly-formed cult, promising a "quick fix" to paradise (as opposed to the Old Testament method, having to adhere to innumerable complicated and restrictive biblical laws)?

the jewish sabbath is on a saturday, so he was executed on friday as they did not want to upset the peole by doing work on the sabbath.so the number of days jesus was in the grave was part of three days as he died on nissan the 13th ,passover was on the 14th of nissan, and ressurected on the 15th.all this to fulfill scripture.

It is important that we understand three days and nights according to their culture not ours.
If you read the scriptures below you will see that Jesus was 3 days and nights in the grave. "That all happened three days ago".
The people who witnessed these events knew it had been three days so who are we to argue with eye witnesses?
Luke 24:13
That same day two of Jesus' followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles[c] out of Jerusalem. 14As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened. 15Suddenly, Jesus himself came along and joined them and began walking beside them. 16But they didn't know who he was, because God kept them from recognizing him.
17"You seem to be in a deep discussion about something," he said. "What are you so concerned about?"
They stopped short, sadness written across their faces. 18Then one of them, Cleopas, replied, "You must be the only person in Jerusalem who hasn't heard about all the things that have happened there the last few days."
19"What things?" Jesus asked.
"The things that happened to Jesus, the man from Nazareth," they said. "He was a prophet who did wonderful miracles. He was a mighty teacher, highly regarded by both God and all the people. 20But our leading priests and other religious leaders arrested him and handed him over to be condemned to death, and they crucified him. 21We had thought he was the Messiah who had come to rescue Israel. That all happened three days ago. 22Then some women from our group of his followers were at his tomb early this morning, and they came back with an amazing report. 23They said his body was missing, and they had seen angels who told them Jesus is alive! 24Some of our men ran out to see, and sure enough, Jesus' body was gone, just as the women had said."

Did you forget why Jesus died??? He died to cleanse the sins of man. He became sin and curse on that cross. God cannot look upon sin. Jesus took the punishment of sin. So, any clue now where he was??? Ever have anyone say they would go to Hell for you??? Well, Jesus DID!

He was in the spirit world ministering to the souls of those in spirit prison and teaching the gospel to those so they could be released and progress in their journey.
Jesus had not yet ascended into heaven.
