Pediasure is basically a multi-vitamin mixed with a low fat, lactose free milkshake. It is safe for anyone who can take a vitamin and are not allergic to any of the ingredients. But if you have any questions, you should ask your doctor or your kid's doctor. It's always a good idea to let them know of everything being taken, even if it is just Pediasure.

The unique formula of PediaSure provides complete and balanced nutrition. Pediasure helps fill the nutrition gaps that can arise out of a child’s fussy eating behavior.

I found this link where you can buy pediasure http://stores.ebay.co.uk/MYDESISHOP/Best-Seller-Nutrition-Products-/_i.html?_dmd=1&_fsub=495405119

Compared to what? Soda? or Regular food?

It's NOT a meal replacement, but if you have a VERY picky eater, who is prone to not being able to keep weight on (or is recovering from a virus that hampered their eating habits) then it's fine to add in just to get extra calories into them.
