you have to leave the tea out until it cools down before putting it in the refrigerator. It's true that's how I do it (learned from Mom) it is never cloudy that way. I make it all the time. Love it, I am drinking it now.

You mean the glass in which the iced tea is poured? - because of the condensation of the water vapour in the air surrounding the glass. This deposits on the surface, naking it misty or cloudy.
If you are using a paper cup or opaque plastic cup, you will not notice the cloudiness, even though there is condensation.
But if your question means that the drink (iced tea) itself turns cloudy, then there is something wrong with the tea leaves/powder.

To avoid cloudy tea:
1. Make up your iced tea, with whatever recipe you want.
2. Do not put it straight into the refrigerator after it's made.
3. Let it cool at room temperature first.
4. THEN put it in the fridge.

If you put ice in the tea, the reason could be the ice. Make ice using bottled water, drinks will remain clear.

The other answers are correct. But more importantly, how do you clarify it? Simple...pour about 6 oz of boiling water into the cloudy tea...that should do it.
