Here is one way to describe Original sin.

The paradise in which God created the human race was a place where all people lived in complete holiness. They loved God with all their heart, with all their soul, and with all their mind. They loved their neighbors as much as they loved themselves.

This is how we were meant to live our lives.

Then the first human beings disobeyed the commandment of God, choosing to follow their own will rather than God's will. This was the Original Sin.

As a consequence the first human beings lost the grace of original holiness, and became subject to the law of death; sin became universally present in the world.

Besides the personal sin of the first human beings, original sin describes the fallen state of human nature which affects every person born into the world. Therefore we are not responsible for Original sin but we are affected by it.

It was this fallen state from which Christ, the "new Adam," came to redeem us. Jesus makes paradise available to us again and teaches us how to live there, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

With love in Christ.

No, that is why baptism should take place when children are at the age of accountability, knowing the difference between right and wrong. They also have to be able to repent. Baptism is for the remission of sins. Infants are born without sin, as Christ paid the price for original sin. Little children are pure in Christ and need no forgiveness.

I don't think babies are born with sin, I don't think kids are accountable to God for their actions until they're about 8. But I still think it's good to teach toddlers how to apologize, and how to tell right from wrong (probably a sin for a grown up parent not to do that).

A new born baby though? Expecting them to be able to talk is just silly.

There are no Christian's born from the womb. There are just people...and all people are born with sin.

No one asks for forgiveness unless they have violated their own standard....or understand what God's standard is.

Yes, Christians ask for forgiveness all the time...they fall short of daily.

The simple answer is yes.

1. ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

2. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Of course they can. Thats what Jesus' ransom sacrafice was for. It was for all to be able to live again and have forgiveness of their sins. God loves us so much he know we are imperfect and have this inherited sin, but he is giving us forgiveness thru Jesus.

Yes, that's when you ask for forgiveness.

First, you are born of the natural. i.e. you mothers womb.

When you ask Jesus into your heart, you are born again of Spirit. i.e. to be a Born Again Christian

Grace to you and God Bless!

Romans 10:8-11

"But what does it say? The word is near you: it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the scripture says, "Anyone who trusts him will never be put to shame."
