It is a modern Sodom and Gomorrah. Where is the brimstone? Did god run out? Why is there no killing of those people? Why does god do none of the stuff he did before that would have made us all believe? Is it because Jesus? What about the people of those cities, why did they not get the chance? What about all the other stuff he used to do, other than punish?

The bible is full of fables, mostly exaggerations of real events. I imagine there was a war between cities where one used primitive sulphur bombs, but it sounds more dramatic if it's rendered in a story as a 'hail of fire and brimstone' since 'brimstone' is sulphur.
Even the minor parts of the fable are violent and misogynistic. For example, there's an area near the sites of Sodom and Gomorrah dotted with salt pillars, so that's explained by the tale of Lot's wife being turned to salt for looking back. Why so mean? Then things turn from cruel to weirded out, with Lot impregnating his two daughters . . . I definitely think people don't read the whole thing, they pick a few parts and we hear about these over and over and over . . . the bible is a poor fable, imho.

The LAWs of the United States of America, the State of Nevada & the City of Las Vegas are far less greviously vile as was the nasty Sodom & Gomorrah! Have you been to Las Vegas? Do you know how many chapels there are in the community? We are like baby lambs compared to the fire breathing dragons of yesteryear. Las Vegas is sin city compared to Amish country maybe, but not to Sodom & Gomorrah!

Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed because many people cursed that city.

If The GOD wiped it out-- what city would be the next one,,LA?, then

i guess it's because god hasn't yet sent angels to Vegas to be raped, only to have Lot give his daughters over to be raped instead of the strangers.
The moral lesson that even an unknown strange man is of greater worth than your own duaghters hasn't been taught to the Vegasites yet. They need that lesson first, so that god can then justly destroy them all (including children).

Vegas is one of the coolest places in the world. you don't have to go there. why are you even talking about it if it bothers you that much? It won't go away, just the opposite, it'll get bigger and better.
