As your teacher, it's more important that she/he "likes" the work that you do and the way that you deport yourself (act) in class. Teachers strive to be impartial -- treating all their students alike. If you receive good grades and positive responses to your aprticipation in class -- then -- that's great -- and means your teacher approves of and respects you.
If you mean like - in a personal and affectionate way -- over and beyond the other students -- that's not something she/he should be telling or showing you. Lots of students get crushes or genuinely come to care about their teachers, but respect their roles. It's okay to care about your teacher -- but keep in mind that she/he is doing their job and needs you to respect them as well.

Seriously, stay away from involvement with a teacher. It can be bad for you and jail time for him.

Don't look into that. he's your TEACHER it's illegal for there to be a relationship beyond teacher student. If he touches you or is inappropriate in any way then tell your pricable, you've been sexually assulted.
