It's a first date, but weve talked on the phone for a few hours so I'm not as nervous you know.
Question,she lives a lil ways away I live about two blocks from where we are going, I was thinking I'll pick her up but would it make sense to have her drive to my place and then go from there, which would you prefer? I'm leaning towards go pick her up I want your opinion?
Would 1 Flower be cool a lily or a tulip something chill but nice to put in a Vase while we are eating? I kind of have an Idea of what I want to do but I value your input........so chime in.

dude, pick her up! that's a no brainer on a first date!! never make her come to you. i realize its an inconvenience, but trust me, you won't regret it. i'd go with the black shirt/white pinstripe combo, personally, and i think you're on the right track with the single flower. however, personally, i'd spring for a rose, red, yellow, orange, pink, whatever, but i'd go for the rose. that's just a personal opinion, and working from what's gone well for me. you sound like you're pretty well set though, and i think that you can count on many more dates in the future. nice work!!

I would drop the whole jean look, it is not good for an Italian restaurant. Try a pair of black pants with the pin stripped shirt and the blazer or a pair of pin stripped pants with the polo both look really good. Trust me I have helped dress 6 brothers and a husband, along with 3 boys of my own. As far as transportation why don't you walk from her apartment to the restaurant it's much more romantic when you can walk and talk rather than spending 20 minutes looking for a parking space and only listening to half of what she is saying so you don't miss your reservation. As for flowers I would take a bouquet to her when I pick her up rather that changing the atmosphere of the restaurant. Oh and one last pointer call or visit the restaurant before your dinner and check out the wine list so that you have an idea of what to order especially if you want to impress her.

It depends on where your eating, if you want to look smart but casual go with the black polo neck and jeans, if it is quite a posh place you are going then the shirt and jacket...plus that might be a bit cooler (as in temp!!) as a polo shirt you don't want to over heat in!!!
I think you should pick her up, as thats a nice gesture to do and a flower would be nice, but a red rose!! Lillys are related with death and tulips are known to be quite common and cheap!! i think stick with the original classic rose...its bound to get a girl swooning every time!! good luck!! you sound like a lovely guy!!!

i could imagine he's tacky for merely popping out and saying it like that. the position's the damn flirting and chase in all this? that's bland. observing a movie and eating pizza? the position's the kind? And the hugging section. i do not recognize him, why could I cuddle with a stranger? as well, cuddling isn't my element of do with tacky men. i'm a Gemini, Capricorn Moon and growing.
