I don't have a lot of time to get ready in the morning, and apart from that, I'm just plain lazy. I love straight hair, but I simply don't know how to accomplish that kind of look without spending a ton of time on my hair in the morning. Can someone out there please give me some tricks or techniques to try to get my hair super straight, and more importantly, have it stay that way for the remainder of the day?

I own a straightener, but it's cheap. I am a poor college student after all!

Use a blowdryer and a flat brush. Flip your hair upside down and put the brush and blowdryer against your hair and bring it down. It straightens your hair and dries it at the same time.

i have a cheap hair straightener too($9 from walmart) and i spend maybe 5 minutes total on my hair when i get it ready(i'm a stay at home mom, so i don't go out much! lol). i like to wash my hair the night before, let it air dry, or if you have time, blow dry it. then, all i do is use my straightener set on high to comb through all of my hair. sometimes i will spritz on some hairspray or scrunch in some mousse so it will be straighter. but that's it! straightening hair really is an easy task. :-)

i don't know what hair type you have, but i have straight- "but not prefectly straight hair"..untamed straight hair

so this is what i do most of the time when i need my hair really(ok. not rEAlly straight... but tamed) straight..
not sure i it works or your hair... but i'll give it a go =")

-in the shower shampoo and condition

-towel dry hair

-even out on fingers petroleum jelly(vaseline) OR oliveoil (approx. 2 tsp) [i use vaseline]
**not too much; it will make u look greasy

-run fingers thru your hair a few times
PAY ATTENTION to the ENDs...

-A) blow your hair while using a rounded brush, or a non-heating straightener[i use the non-heating straightener the non-electrical ones]
----OR-----
-B) blow your hair HALF dry then use the straightener (elect.)
----OR-----
-C) if you're in a hurry.. run your fingers thru your hair while blowdrying

I do this at NIGHT, and when i get up in the morning its much better when i dont do it..
but if it gets rEAlly uncontrollable in the morning (if your not washing your hair)..

MY SECRET is
-dampen hair a little

-use vaseline/olive oil run thru hair and the ends
**yes not TOO much

- then comb it straight

Learn to love what your hair does naturally. It's a lot easier on it too.

Other than that, if your hair is short enough, you could pin your hair around your head at night with wet/damp hair and it should be pretty straight. And No DAMAGE!

you should wash your hair using pantene, I mean the 2-in-1 stuff. The one that gives you smoother hair. It works on me and it should work on you!
