I understand you quite well...I felt so sad when I was surfing on the French web site that I decided to surf on Yahoo USA....French people too need to be saved! We can just pray for them. Faith is a God-given grace....

See - here's something that is always left out of such a rant.
One can believe in God and NOT believe in Jesus as Messiah.
And Christians have somehow made themselves the ONLY one's who can receive God's love and are the ONLY one's who can gain entry into heaven.
And I had a child - he was born four months prematurely and he died. What does that prove about the existence of God?
(Guess you didn't factor that into your little equation, did ya?)
Still, I did not and do not denounce God. I do not mock Him. And I follow Him and try to do what He has asked.
But why do many Christians choose to denounce and mock anyone who is not a Christian? Even you do so - calling those who don't "too naive and immature". And thinking that people who choose not to believe in God do so just to "be cool".
I am glad that you have peace in your heart. But what makes you think that others don't? And what gives you the right to interfere with it, anyway?
Did ya ever think that these repeated, misguided attempts - and disguising witnessing as a question - might push folks further away from your religion?

First of all that is not a question.
Second off all, Yahoo! Answers' purpose is to ask questions that you want answered or answer questions. The purpose of Yahoo! Answers is NOT to shove your religion down people's throats.
You are not going to convert people by calling them names such as "naiive" and "immature". If you were a "true Christian", you would not judge others.
What is detestable is not the Christian religion but the followers who are judgemental bigots, like you. People like you give all Christians a bad name.
Why do "Christians" like yourself condemn others for their beliefs (or lack there of)? Why can't you RESPECT the beliefs of others?!
You cannot sit there behind the safety of your computer screen and make false promises to the youth on this web site. You cannot honestly promise that in one instant, their pain and sorrows will be gone. They will still have painful memories and experiences. You cannot promise that they wil have the same experience you had.
Furthermore, you need to understand and respect that some people simply DO NOT believe what you believe to be true. It's not a matter of "denying God" or "denying Jesus". It's a matter of what we believe to be true. If I believe in my heart of hearts that the Bible is untrue and I don't believe that, I couldn't change the way I feel even if I wanted to. We cannot help what our heart believes.
Lastly and perhaps most importantly - JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN YOUR CHRISTIAN GOD DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE FULL OF HATE. Just because someone's beliefs are different than yours doesn't mean they are bad. Their are other positive religions in this world aside from Christianity (which, coming from you, doesn't seem so positive at all).
PS - I am reporting you on the ground that this is not a question. This is not mocking, this is all truth, whether you choose to accept it or not.

It's sad how many people of my generation do despise and even loath god. Faith is not something many find important. However, I was just such a person until a direct hand was taken, so to speak. I know I have felt the lord in my heart, in my soul, and in my life. I know Jesus did die for my sins and through his atonement I can find peace. It is an experience beyond words when you first feel it. However, it takes a lot to reach those of us who are so determined to live their lives away from a god as I once was. This I do not disagree, but do not condemn all of us for being faithless. And with time I am confident more with see the light. (Btw I am 17 if you are wondering)

These kids will never be old...Most have been schooled in the public school as atheists and are so blinded that they will never believe. The end is so close that if they are young they will never marry or have children, peace has been taken from the earth and the end is close. Most of them really know that we can not go on as we are and are really upset about it but don't know what to do and they reject any mention of God so tend to depend on the Govt. God will not wait long before he calls the end to all things and the Great Tribulation begins.
There is not enough oil in the world to sustain the life style as we know it, we have only been using great quantities of oil in the last 100 years and it is not unlimited.. The rate of consumption is going up daily with china developing...
Rev 6:4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

I'm not a Christian, not because I think it's "cool" to be so, but because I have some real problems with the Christian dogma and simply cannot bring myself to believe in it. I used to try and be Christian, but all that "hurt and sorrow" that you tell me would be "wiped away"? Yeah, didn't happen. I felt awful, knowing that by accepting this dogma, I was condemning good people and following somethng I really didn't believe in. Christianity may be good for you, but it is not for everyone. I am Agnostic because I believe there is some greater force that helped to create the universe we know, but I do not think it was the Christian god, or any god that any religion has so far worshiped. I am still seeking for the truth.

There are many long questions that aren't really questions lately. So many sneaking testimonies in as questions! I realize we have to use every opportunity but when we break the rules or go too far we are proving the other side's point. We are seen as just ranting and venting. Which by the way, doesn't seem to be so peaceful. Calm yourself and have patience.
As a Christian, I too have felt sorry for so many who denounce God. It breaks my heart to see so many reject Jesus. I feel your same frustration. However, the expression of such will only lead to more mocking. We need to allow the Bible to speak for us.

It's sad that you feel that way. I hate it for you.
But unfortunately, this is a necessary step. People like yourself are about to face hard times, as the light of reason is finally exposing that your religion is false, and that not only is there no god today, but there wasn't one 2000 years ago, either.
That's a painful lesson to learn, and like I said, I feel for you.
All I can hope is that you'll be brave enough to read the facts for yourself, and understand that you've been misled. But if not, you can die believing that you're going to heaven and so forth. If that's what you want, more power to you.
But yes, religion is on the way out. It would be nice if you could join us, but we'll understand if you don't.

Good point - the hatred had been around though since the beginning of time - why do you think Jesus was crucified - because these same people did not want to hear the Truth - but there are some who want to know:
It would be great if the atheist would post somewhere else - you do not want us to push our religion on you - we do not want your ignorant post here.

Listen I am old enough to have kids. 3 as a matter of fact. I was raised christian and have discovered as an adult that that those who preach and state things as a matter of fact or just lonely and have no life. All you can do is judge those who you think are beneath you and pitty those that think they are above you. I am the unjudgeable. So before you judge again you must think to yourself "why do I judge when I am not god" And you will realize that your beliefs are twisted and you read the bible backwords instead of forwards. I believe in GOD but dont believe in religion so wrap that junk up and take it to the party!!!!!!!!! Oh one more thing get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you said:
"I am telling you for your own eternity, accept God and His love and just wait to see what amazing things He can do for you!! In an instant all that hurt and sorrow will be wiped away. You will have a peace beyond understanding"
-----------------------------
I wipe away (deal with) hurt and sorrow on my own. I enjoy a serenity that you can't imagine on your own, you have to have "god". just because YOU need a make believe friend to comfort you, why should I?
better yet, why don't you want to learn to deal with life on your own? are you scared of hell, or really just scared of living your life on your own and making your own decisions?
