Acceptance. For the life I've chosen, decisions I've made, and for who I am as a person. It's a tie between accpetance and support for me.

loving RESPECT and friendship. honesty would be good too and kindness. to be big enough to admit making mistakes (they made/make lots of them!).
yes my parents would have been angry or hurt if anyone had ever dared suggest that they were not all the above.
don't hold your breathe waiting for parents to read the 'heartfelt wishes of their children' and change for the better - most of them are already perfect and don't need any information from anyone! - least of all their ungrateful little brats!

Why my dad drank so much. Didn't realize that several of my problems as an adult were related to the way he acted when he got home. I was to young to realize that he had been drinking then. Thats why he was so mean to us. It wasent' until I was 19 when I realized at a counseling session that he was an alcholic, still is but I have better understanding. I just wonder why he started and why he can't stop now.

To be understanding in terms of they less protective of the child.
I know every parent wants the best out of their child, but cann't they see the fact that the more pressure they put, the worst the result might turn out to be.
And that to stop thinking that they are always right just cause they are our parents...

l don't really know what l would ask them, maybe for some love just to know that they cared, cos l was raised by my grandmother so she is like my mom to me, l do talk to my mom now and then but l could never go deep about my feelings cos she like a stranger, don't really know her that well and as for my father l would just want to spend some time with him since the last time l saw him when l was 10, now l'm 21 l tried to track him down but unfortunately he passed on before l could reunite with him

I would ask my mother why she tried to sweep my younger sister's sexual abuse under a rug and forget about it.
