Well I'm no rocket sciencetist... But maybe it's because when your sleeping, your body is still working. Your brain needs energy to put your dreams or pictures into your mind... How does it get energy you might ask? Well the food you eat is digested and stored and your body uses it as energy for your brain, muscle, and more. Your probably waking up in the middle of the night wanting food because you havn't had a lot of it. It's normal for some people, just try eating a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you will be all set.
Hope this helped.
enjoy

You may have had too many carbs the night before. The more carbs you eat the hungrier you get. When you have a hungry day have a carb and a protein, like a couple of peanut butter crackers. It gets me back on track.

I take a multivitamin right before bed. I know that sounds funny but even if I was a little hungry right before bed, I never wake up hungry. I'm not sure how that works, but it does, and that is good enough for me. Plus I have so much more energy the next day.

that's absolutely generic! I used to awaken hungry contained in the approach the evening, so i could keep a small container of granola bars and some water next to my mattress to ease the starvation contained in the approach the evening or contained in the morning. It really helped alot! in case you do finally end up eating a ton, be confident to devour healthful. a piece of fruit continuously looked as if it would fulfill my cravings too! reliable success!

You just answered your own question! Because you are hypoglycemic, your blood glucose level can drop pretty low, bringing on these sudden cravings, which is your body's natural reaction as an attempt to normalize the blood sugar in your body.

You need to eat other things with your protein. Add a bit of carbs, as well as liquid (preferably a Gatorade or energy drink)/

it is nutrition.....even though youve changed your diet, your body has now become accustomed to it....your body is burning what you eat differently now.....its telling you it needs to be refueled.....try making sure that what you do eat the evening before is something that will stick with you....
