weve been together for 5 months.i lied to him about my life.he forgave me & another chance, but now,he wants a short break.he needs time to start all over again.

He's probably shaken by the lie and it's sinking in more deeply now. If you want to keep him your best bet may be to give him his space while at the same time letting him know how you feel. But above all else you must be honest with him. Trust is earned and so far it doesn't sound like you have done much in that department. You need to show that you have changed and that will take time.

Give him his time.. let him clear his head... believe me it is better for him to do that now and decide what he wants than after a few years it will hurt more later.
I am sure he does not want to break up he jsut wnats to think and see how you react... tell him you will give him his space but tell him how you feel about him first!
