They are human like the rest of us, some good, some not so good. The British are inclined to look down their noses at Americans, as a Brit, I'm still working on why that should be. Americans have a 'can do' mentality, I think the British could learn something there.

I am British but have lived in Canada for 19 years now..........my experience of Americans has been both good and bad. They do seem a little arogant....but then again dont countries from all over the world have a mix of good and bad? Sure you'll get lots of interesting answers though! We travel a lot to the Caribbean...I have come across some interesting Americans......they do seem to think that they are superior and are quite demanding... hope that helps...L:.Butler

I think we British tolerate Americans, I think most Americans live in a dream world and most Americans don't seem to have much ideas about what goes on in the rest of the world. I think you are all self obsessed, in general we don't think much of you. British are more reserved. We do love your movies but our sitcoms are better than yours. I think we share the same sense of humour. We are not jealous of you, I mean everyone hates you, the English are also hated but everyone loves the Scottish, Irish and Tom Jones. America is a rich country but you have many poor. Same in Britain, we are not a rich country but we don't exactly live in dustbins.

How can the Brits be patriotic when our own government doesnt allow us to fly the union jack and be patriotic for fear of offending other nationalities who live here? When we see immigrants get treated better then the UK tax payer?

I'm a Brit but would rather be an American!

I don't really love em or hate em I'm indifferent, i don't like the way every American i have met is so affectionate and always wanting to hug and stuff(that's just my personal experience) it's too much but on the positive side i like the way they are patriotic about their country not many other folk are like that and I guess us Brits wish we could be more patriotic

Yes, I think they, along with everyone else, have some sort of problem or resentment towards us. Which is really a shame. I like the Brits...

We (like most of the rest of the world) don't like you very much. You are ignorant of the rest of the world (the very fact that you need to ask this question proves that), when you travel abroad you want everything to be exactly the same as it is in America, oh, and there's your President too.

They think that we are all of the things that they would love to be allowed to be, out loud and in your face, without actually having to be considered a total chav to do it.

They like us... they think we are sweet. (and stay crunchy in milk too!)

although the one's I know don't really care for me much, I on the other hand, don't blame them one little bit!
