If you haven't put a lot of thought into yet, then go for something a little different, but not drastic. Maybe put some long layers in, or wispy bangs. If you are tan with dark hair, consider highlights. You can get them subtle with contrasting colors like honey and caramel. Don't go shorter unless you are SURE you are ready. It can be traumatic to go short unexpectedly. Whatever you decide, be firm in what you want with the stylist. Otherwise, you could end up with a cut you hate!

It is all up to you. How much time do you want to put into doing your hair everyday. My hair is to the middle of my back. Usually in a ponytail all summer long, but I like that. I feel this works for me I wash my hair everything 3 days and let it air dry. The shorter your hair the less you can do with it and the more you have to wash it. I say a trim and maybe some layers. If you are going to a salon to get your hair cut talk to the stylist. They love when you ask for their opinion, just make sure your tell them what you do not want. In the end your hair will always grow back.

I had long hair and I cut it to about my shoulders with long layers and mine looks great and is really easy to take care of. Sounds like you look almost like me only difference is I have brown eyes, I am about 5'1 barefoot too!

go in for the "just above shoulder" bouncy but get it razor cut so all the ends arent exactly the same. Some blonde and even orange or dark red highlighted strips throughout would also look really good

Any way you wish to desire. If you are undecided, ask the person who is cutting your hair to give you some books to check out some haircuts/styles. Nothing wrong with long straight brown hair.

Get it layered around your face and keep most of the length in the back. That way if you are in a hurry you can pull it back with cute little layers around your face and it will look great. Chunky layers look best with longer hair, so that it doesn't get that feathered look.

i think you should get blonde highlights with a side bang like ashley tisdale, and maybe get it 2 or 3 inches below the shoulder and layer it in the front and back. Hope this helps ya! :-)

Your stylist should give you a better idea, they cut your hair depending on the shape of your face. But a 2" lower than shoulder lenght is good.
