If I were you, I'd look into public storage. For a few dollars you can store all of those books.

You could go upwards on your walls. Put a book shelf up close to the ceiling. Good place for things you won't use much and other odds and ends. Or if you want to store them they should stay in fairly ok condition if you pack them away in a plastic box...maybe even put some tape around the edge where the lid meets the box to ensure that nothing get in.

I would consider donating them to a local museum or library where other people can enjoy them. I'm sure your dad would be happy knowing that the books are being enjoyed instead of being boxed up and just being a burden.

Well, they might have some historical value, so if you want to get rid of them you could try to find a collector or sell/give them to a local museum or library.

You can never run out of space.... use your imaginiation, I am sure there is some dead space somewhere in your home :) OR donate them to your local library or school.

gather them all and put them in a box on your balcony or on top of a wardrobe....you can even use that box as a table or so for something, just cover it well :)
