I am looking for leagues or classes for beginner's tennis, racquetball, and/or softball in the Roswell/Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area. Anyone know of good places to go for this? Thanks!

Check out your local community college for beginners classes for any sport.

There is a YMCA in Roswell, Cumming, Dunwoody and the Sandy Springs area that you could call or go onto the website for classes and/or lessons. Try going to the county parks center websites and see what they offer. Call different workout facilities and see if they are offering anything. Look in the phone book for the area that you are wanting and see if its listed there. Try the local city newspapers and see if anyone has advertised private lessons. Other than that, word of mouth, could work too.

I live in Cumming, Forsyth County, and we just got the fall/winter class schedule for the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Center and they are offering beginner/intermittent/advanced tennis this fall.

Maybe Atlanta is too far away, but people from Aiken come here to practice. In Augusta, i'm apart of MACH Achademy. It is an organization that teaches you how to get fit and how to play expert tennis, even if you are not that serious about it. At Fleming tennis center we have a gym to workout on so you can get fit. Or you might want to try Newman Tennis Center. I play there for fun, but they teach people too. There is a MACH Academy in Aiken, S.C., too, they come down to us to try out their skills every once in a while. We have the Inner City Tennis League, it is fun; matches, food, and friends. This league has men and women. It is in more than one city, but I don't know about it if it is in Atl.
