The dog may have been involved in some sort of accident and may have some internal bleeding or just badly bruised. Did the vets do an ultrasound or some other scan like an xray? The red eyes could possibly be due to conjunctivitis - rinse eyes three or so times per day with saline eye drops until redness goes away.

I would feed the dog well (try a different type or some sort of stewed human food), pet him a lot and with the vet's permission give him a buffered aspirin per day to help with the pain.

Oh, the bumps - are they small like hives or bee stings or are they tumor like? If they look an allergy then maybe a gentle bath and some new bedding might be in order.

Did the vets test for cancer? I hate to drag that up but that might be what's going on.

Go to another vet, also try a vitamin B supplement or some Brewer's yeast, some foods contain sulfur dioxide, specifically pet meat or mince which is not controlled and not specified on the labels, it can lead to a deficiency in thiamine which can have the symptoms you describe, if you find he responds, that's the problem.

Is the dog old?

How long has he had this? It might be a reaction or problems with digestive system coupled with a musculo-skeletal disorder. He needs checking with another vet i'd say, try 2 or 3. Remember you can just have consulatations which shouldnt cost too much

Your dog is sick! Was he bitten by anything, or did he eat something that could cause this? Take him to another vet, explain that you've had him checked and they didn't find anything that could explain this, but that you are concerned and worried. He should be tested for things out of the ordinary. Good luck, holding good thoughts for your companion.

My sympathies. Take your dog to another vet. If there are visible signs of ailment, then the previous vet's opinion must be questioned.

The bumps on your dog and the ailments you are describing sounds like cancer. What kind of dog do you have?

Don't panic, some cancers in dogs are curable and may not be malignant. Relax and just get another opinion.

Take him to an internal specialist. If there isn't a specialty clinic in your area take him to a university that has a vet teaching hospital. I find it hard to believe there is no diagnosis with that many symptoms. Although they don't all go together. If you are sincere then get another opinion.

Keep him comfortable and calm.
Await the vets test results if they took bloodwork it might be another day or two before they get the results.

it could be something small that is causing these problems but it could be something else. Try to be calm.

Good luck x x

u can tell most of the time if your dog has cancer by the smell. if it stinks i would definately take it to another vets just to be on the safe side. i hope everything will go ok. and just try and make the dog feel as comfy as you can.
