Can you become addicted to water? I know it sounds liek a very stupid question becasue every needs alot of water, but ive noticed in thep ast week ive been liek drinknig 5 bottles of water in liek a day (mainly when i work out) I feel liek now since ive been drinknig so much of it i find myself always drinknig water now. Like i crave it alot. I never drink anything else anymore barely except for alot fo water. I'm thinknig this is a good habit but is it also bad to crave water alot. Im not necesarily that thirsty i just crave water for some strange reason.

Drinking water is good thing. When you work out you dehydrate so you are trying to re-hydrate yourself. Most people don't drink enough water. You are finding that you really need a lot of water during the day to filled fully hydrated.

That isn't a very nice first response...everyone has typos LOL. I think it would be ok. It is better than like soda or beer. I also have heard that ifyou drink water before a meal that you will eat less so it may be a good diet secret. I don't really know if you can drink too much water because you will just expel the extra in your urine I think.

It is probably OK but not necessarily. How much are you drinking per day? If you drink too much you will leach a lot a vitamins and minerals and it can be harmful to your Kidneys. The craving for water can be a sign of something more serious such as cancer or diabetes.

The only disease that I know in which water cravings are a symptom are diabetes mellitus, this will also be indicated by sugar in your urine, a quick doctors visit can relieve this fear. If you are not diabetic, then all power to you. Water is good for the body.

I don't know why this happens, but I have had the same problem. Unless you start drinking massive amounts of water at one time, it's harmless and will keep your body well hydrated.

I frink a lot of water as well. I know the feelings that you go through. It is like I can't go anywhere without my bottle of water.

I don't think it could be a bad thing. It's much worse to be addicted to something unhealthy, like soda or alcohol. Your obsession with water seems quite normal to me. ^^

i am sure that it is alright, you have to keep hydrated, but as long as you have something with nutrition's and solid meals, you should be fine
