The idea that neutering (desexing) a dog early might stunt their growth has no factual basis -- I've always had males neutered at around 6 months, and seen no adverse effects. This is said with 20 years of having 20-30 dogs in my kennel, as well as selling puppies on a neuter contract, and working for a vet clinic for several years.
Get your male neutered now. He'll be healthier in the long run, and registering him will be cheaper!

Unless you are planning to do performance events with him, like obedience or agility, or unless he is a very large dog it should be all right to do it now. As far as I know, early neutering mainly affects the growth of the long bones, making them longer and not as strong, but this is not generally a problem for pets, just for competition dogs. I think even the competition people only wait until the dog is a year old, by then he has mostly finished growing. Even so, there are lots of dogs competing at high levels in agility that were neutered at an early age, and they seem to be just fine.
So go ahead, have it done.

Your dog should be neutered now. No reason to wait.
In fact they did a study with horses and they found out that they will grow taller after being gelded than ones that were left intact longer. The testerone casues the ends of the bones or growth plates to harder as soon as it appears in teh blood stream when they reach maturity. With out the testerone floating about in the blood the horse will grow taller. Not sure if it is the same with dogs but I had a male Doberman neutered at 4 months of age and he was 100 pounds and 31" at the shoulder HUGe for a Dobe. It is also better for the dogs health to do sooner less risk of prostrate cancer.

If you wait past a year his recovery will be more difficult. There is no good reason not to do it now. It won't stunt his growth or anything. We fixed our dog when he was 6 months old with a laser surgery, he recovered in about a day that way. You dog may bring puppies into this world if you keep putting it off and then you will really have a fine.

The only time it makes sense to wait beyond 6-9 months is with a very large breed dog. These dogs grow rapidly and neutering too early can cause problems in the bones and joints. However, even with a giant breed dog, neutering should take place between 18 and 24 months.

If by desexing, you mean neutering, i would say around 6-9 months, if you wait till later than that, there will be more testosterone in the dog and might cause more male dominant behaviors, like agressiveness and control issues.

Dogs can be neutered as young as 8 weeks of age. Early neutering (prior to four months of age) might stunt his growth slightly, but he will still develop normally. Obviously this is not an issue for you, though.
Neutering at 11 months should have no bearing on his physical condition, as he is almost fully physically developed anyway.
I have worked in a large shelter for 13 years and have seen plenty of dogs who were neutered before six months old (the average onset of sexual maturity). None of them grew to be excessively small or deformed.
Save yourself some money and get him neutered now!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7CI
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

l never recommend a pup of 12 weeks to be done as it can grow large or have other problems and the ideal age is around 5-6 months but if a small breed you night have to go for 4 months.Remember a pup at 5 months can mate and service a female.it is a simple operation ,just a snip and much cheaper than a female b eing done.good on you for doing the right thing
