If you are looking for someone who has the same beliefs and faith as you, this is fine. If you are looking to just get laid, there are better places to find a spouse. Most larger churches have singles activities that are designed to let people meet each other. The bible doesn't say it is wrong to meet others in church, or to have a spouse, so why would this be taboo? It really depends on your agenda with that person.

Unfortunately, that is precisely some people's reason for going to church. I've seen that behavior in playas who are ready to settle down and want to find a woman who isn't as easy as the women they've been playing with. I've also seen it in skeezas who are looking for a man who is hard working and a good provider. So just because you meet someone in church it doesn't mean that the person is there for the right reasons.
