What excatly is a CT scan and a MRI?

I have this presentation to present I i don't know how to tell my audience exactly what it is to where they can understand it. Please help?

Hi. CT stands for Computer-aided Tomography and is based on 3D X-ray scans interpreted by a computer program. MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging which uses a strong magnetic field to modify the hydrogen atoms alignment in your body and measures the signal given off when the atoms re-align when the magnet is turned off.
