A female will come into season again approximately 6 months after her last heat (so, about 4 months after having puppies)...however, breeding her again on her next season is not only unethical, it's physically hard on the b*tch. If you insist on breeding her again, it shouldn't be done for at least a year after she's whelped her litter.

Usually after the pups are ready to consume food on there own, however it's smart to allow the mother a break, so that she has strong healthy puppies. Often, people mate to soon after a litter, and often the puppies all don't live, simply because her system can only operate so fast. Give her 5 to 6 months before breeding again. She'll thank you later, with healthier puppies.

Why do you want to breed you dog so often? Why do you want to breed her at all? My wife volunteers at a local animal shelter. About a fifth of the dogs there are pits or pit mixes.

The fact that you asked the question that you said says that you don't know what you're doing. Rather than turn her into a puppy machine, do the right thing and get her fixed.

At least a yr She needs to get her health up again . and get her vitamins and suplemenst up. You dont want to mate her to soon after she has pups or the puppies wont be healthy at all.and she will eventually dies if she has to many litters from mal nurishment .

Ok, I have a bad feeling about this question. The first thing that popped into my mind was puppy mill, and if you were truly a good breeder you'd know.

At least 9 months to do that to your pit bull.
