Hey Emma B.,

Any 12 year old should have at least an hour of physical activity each day. That is why California had PE for an hour a day starting in Junior High. If you can get more, great.

Do some stretches (for warm ups) 15 minutes. Run, walk, bike, calisthenics, dance, read the other answers you get and do some of their suggestions. The hardest part will be to stay consistent! Motivate yourself by setting a schedule - when you get up, roll out of bed and stretch - (toe touches, reach for the sky, arm over the head, arm in front of the chest, leg straight and back foot on the floor flat) that will get you started. Then do like one suggested, dance for a while, or go for a walk or run or bike - every day!

Participate in Physical Education classes, or get in a sport at school!

Good habits start at your age!

Instead of going shopping at the mall, walk through the place. This way you're around a lot of people and you don't have to worry about being alone. Go bike riding. Take a friend or a bunch of people with you. It's safer that way. Swimming is also an excellent way to keep in shape. Gardening works. Some people don't see it, but there's a lot of stretching and bending and you'll feel resistant force every time you go pulling on those nasty deep rooted weeds. Wash the house windows or wash the family car. It's all good.

Yoga is great. Especially Vinyasa or Ashtanga. Martial arts and Dance are also good. You might like Capoeira. It is a dance martial art. Break dancing comes from it.
You are young so you can do anything. You can also just find a sport you love. It can be anything. Just be active.

yoga! since your young still you are still limber and flexible so you should be able to do it easily. What it does is tones your muscles and tightens them too.
