I have scoliosis and in March, I moved something and the following week I started to develop wierd symtoms. It started with a tightness on my left side and then went to my right then It felt like water was dripping down from inside my head and through out my body and my sinuses cleared all the sudden., I stopped taking my medication and it all got better after weeks went by. The water isn't in my head anymore, but I still feel it every now and then in my body and little pains and warmth every now and then and the tightness has came back and now it is kinda sour and my back is inflamed.... I had been to the emergency room 14 times during all of this and they can't find nothing wrong. They never done aMRI though. I just want to know if anyone else had answers or if this has happend to anyone else. I don't have my Migranes anymore... Any answers or advise would help. By the way the doctors got sick of seeing me and told me to go to a physcologist. I am not making this up...

Someone said on here that they didn't believe me and that is ok, The only reason why I am posting this on here is becasue I can't find anwers from my doctors. I think that it my symtoms sound like MS. They done blood work many times, like I said I had been to the emergency room 14 times. they checked my brain, my organs, all they told me was my spine looked like a rollar coster and that is causing my symptoms. I don't know what to think or do. Thank you for your help though...

Go to your primary get blood work done and have him look into abnormal side effects from your medication and how long of a period can the meds affect you after taking them. Also ask for a referral to a Neuro and tell the Neuro and request a "Contrast MRI" if everything comes back clean, discuss with your primary if an LP might be able to figure out what is wrong.
****EDITED***
You should not being taking Topamax unless you where seen and it was prescribed by a Neuro. Topamax can impair muscular abilities and cause tingling feelings as well as a unsteady walk (notice most of your symptoms). Depending on your age and weight, will affect the dosage required. Topamax has different usage from migraines to nerve pain. Take my advice, go to your primary and ask to get a refer to a Neuro. If you have MS, an LP will determine that, but first other tests will need to be done.

You know, I think I would stay away from the emergency room, find a good neurologist, have a cat scan / MRI done and then proceed from there. I don't know if you have ever had energy medicine work done or not but I would give that a try too; Maybe some Reiki, Polarity, I'd even try some hypnosis. See if you can get to the root of all of this stuff. Give it a go. Your body is definitely trying to tell you something. Listen to it.

Interesting. What were the meds for? Meds can cause all kinds of random side effects. Most doctors are crap. They are just expensive sales reps for drug companies. I don't know what is going on. Look into MS. I hate to say it but that's a possibility. See an acupuncturist and see what they can do, they spend a lot of time with you and really get to know all of your body systems. They can treat a lot of different things not only body aches. You'd be suprised about how interconnected random symptoms are.

First, just because there doctors doesn't make them godlike, second, it's common for doctors to degrade woman when visiting a office or hospital, and instead of simply telling you they don't know the answer, they would rather tell you it's in your head which only complicates things even further. If I were you, I'd seek second opinion, and report every doctor that told you to seek mental help. God bless you!

i had something simular like that.. it was found that my inner ear behind my eardrum was full of gunk like puss, it all happened when i got a sinus infection 2 years previous. i kept going back to the ear hospital but they couldnt find anything wrong until one day a student doctor found and tried to remove a tiny bit of wax on my eardrum and found that there was puss behind it. a week or so i found myself having 8 hours of surgery on my ear... which i lost approx 80% of my hearing, but the surgent said "if it had not been found with in the next month i could have gotten melingitis or brain damage due to the cavity filling up and eating away a wafer thin bone between the eardrum and the brain.... My advice would be to go for an MRI as soon as possible... i believe you cos it happened to me. tell your doctor he is a quack and to make an appointment asap... good luck. tell me how you got on joejoeyjbgd@yahoo.ie

sickness can be of two types mental and physical but they are related to each other..... I mean to say your mind controls the mental sickness.... no one likes to be sick.... and this is somthing you dont find out unless u get sick.... suppose you are infected by xyz or u r suffereing from abc..... when u r all well ur brain still is scared about it.... about gettin it back..... this is a common problem among us humans.... at times like this think of something soothing.... most of the people like to think about beach and the palm trees.... this helps.... Its all in u r head

I dont know what your condition is but suggest you get a second opinion if your own GP isnt helping. Don't sit back and take it, go and see someone else.
Also, if you have access to medical insurance (bupa etc) use that and try and get to see a specialist.

Please see the webpages for more details on scoliosis.
You should check the medicines for any side effects (vide medlineplus-drug information shown below) You should compare your unusual symptoms with the side effects of the drugs and report to your doctor for further directions.

I would suggest that as this is causing you constant problems that you insist that your GP referes you to a specialist. They are likely to be more sympathetic to your problems, and will probably have heard of sufferers with your symptoms already, and therefore be more able to help you.
