i've only been to myrtle beach, but it seems myrtle is a little more energetic (does that make sense?) then hilton head. hilton head seems more expensive and laid back.

I've never been to either place but Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach both are big resort areas lots of people vacation there. I know that both areas have lots of golf but I'm not sure about stuff for kids, but the actual beaches are supposed to be nice.
