what causes this reaction?

when my mother eats watermelon, her mouths starts to break out like she has an allergic reaction to watermelon

what in the watermelon would cause it?

she is prob allergic to something in the watermelon. My son does that with milk. He loves milk so he always has a little red around his mouth. Using Vasoline does help.

well sometimes if people are very clean around there mouth,when alot of juices are exsposed your face is not use to it and react in a diffrent way.. Watermelon also has a ruff texture to it which could make the skin to brake out..... it's normal for alot of people,, something you should tryis cutting the watermelon down to bit size and see if it till happens.. but on the other hand if it is a really bad rash, she maybe allergic to "a" acid in the watermelon..

your situation is sad but aidable first try this...allow your dear mother to drink a bit of melon juice first without the juice touching her lips she may be having a reaction to the asimilated pollen translated from other flowers during sexual transaction also try from other types of melon say for example the " Black Diamond"
